It is a direct replacement. Fits an performs perfectly. Be sure to get the core puller tool when you pickup the valve core. It is almost impossible to get the core out without it.

Is a good functional replacement, but not a 100% visual one. The original Moen cartridge has two o-ring seals, one in the front and rear. This one has only the front seal, but what looks like an empty place for the rear seal. Made me think I had a missing seal from the MFR and...Read More stopped my project to verify. It’s worth a note.
It fit`s it doesn’t leak but go to the left and you get cold. Go back right and it turns off. Go further to the right you get hot. No possibilities of warm water.

It had to be replace AGAIN Feb. 8th, 2022 at the cost of 46.00 for just the part (the labor was $180.00!). I am thinking the part must have been defective.
