The Stems are to long. I am replacing the clear price pfister 3 handle tub shower set. This set has the same length stems. When I installed the handles there is a 1 inch gap between trim and handle. There are several complaints on amazon this same issue.

I have the same problem as above. The flange height needs to be approx . 1/2 inch longer. Since i’m replacing the stems how does having a kit with shorter stems fix anything? The flange height is incorrect for the length of the stems provided in this kit.

Shouldnt the new trim cover the longer stem?
