The Danco EZ Drain Cover provides a solution for missing or damaged tub drains. The touch activated stopper opens and closes drains and replaces lift and turn, push button and trip lever style drains. It includes various sizes of o-rings to fit any drain size so it is easy to install without removing the old drain. It is constructed of durable metal to provide strength and reliable performance. IMPORTANT: Make sure the position of the gasket flange (widest side up) is installed on the stopper
DETERMINE GASKET SKIZE FOR YOUR TUB: proceed by positioning large gasket (A) into the groove of the stopper with the flange side facing upward; if the fit is too tight, the switch to the smaller gasket (B)

I have filed the brass center piece until the spring is almost visible through what remains of it and it still hits the cross piece of my original drain.

Like the previous reviewer, I also have trouble with the part not sitting tight against the drain. The chrome edge sits up slightly. I am concerned that this may potentially cut someone standing in the tub. I’m not sure what the best solution would be.

They don’t sell a stopper gaskets. The gasket is very thin and can break, but there is no replacement available. You need to purchase a whole new unit.

First, the way it...Read More fits in the tub, it ends up leaving a small ring of water that surrounds the new drain but that water won’t drain. It’s like a small mote. Last issue is when in popped up position the water drains very slowly because the opening is rather small.
Other than that, it looks terrific and was super easy to install. There’s so much potential for this concept but it hasn’t been perfected yet. Thank you!

It looks fabulous after two years of showers and baths. It stays sealed during baths and drains without a care. I have never had a single problem with little moats of water being left in the tub. I wonder, after reading other reviews, if their issues are a result of the type of tub they have and newer plumbing. I am aware there are standard sizes, but my apartment building was built in the 1980s and I’m thinking the tub has not been updated with anything modern. Some are sloped and some are more flat, particularly the deeper modern ones. So in that respect, it could be the make of tub. Perhaps the product developers could contact those with issues, above, and get photos of the tub type and drain issues. The drain plumbing is standard, and should not have changes much since the 80s, but that is a question for a plumber to confirm. I love this product and it also fits my bathroom sink perfectly as well. So I had to order a second one for it. This was a perfect solution to the unsightly rust spots on the tub drain, it covered it nicely and makes the tub look new. Say goodbye to bathroom tub and sink plugs forever. This is an amazing product that I have recommended to others in my building. Thank you for keeping it on the shelves.
This does not work. While it did go into the drain and cover the old one, when I engage the stopper all the water still drains out of the tub. There’s no measurement on it so I don’t know if I just need a different size or if sealant will help or not. Itis too big for my sink drain. Does not fit in. I am returning to Walmart.

I’ll go buy the one from Everbilt – at least in their product titles they say how big the thing is.
