How to video
Step-by-step instructions
Matching the exact broach that you need to finish a project will help you get the perfect, best fitted results. Each broach is determined by the number of splines it has. Splines are the pointed ridges that are around the top of a stem, and knowing the number of splines inherently determines the broach letter.
1
To start, darken one of the splines with a black permanent marker. Us this spline as your starting point.
2
Count the number of splines around the top of your stem.
3
Select the number of splines on your stem on the Stem Finder Tool Match Your Broach Page. Note: If your stem does not have any pointed ridges and has flat/rounded sides, select zero.
